For the past year, I have been a nursing supervisor, working two night shifts per week. It’s the best job for being both a working mom and a stay-at-home mom!

I knew I wanted to be a teacher the first day I got home from Kindergarten. Although I’ve sometimes resisted this fact and I love to do lots of other things, I fully accept that I am passionate about teaching young children. This post has helped me to realize that I do what I love and I love what I do!

I love the problem solving, supporting the parents, teaching strategies to the kids, seeing progress–even when it’s measured in millimeters, assisting the general educators, and making the day of an at-risk boy or girl means so much to me. I am so blessed to do what I do. I’m a special education teacher. I work with emotional behavioral disorders EBD.
