One year we made cinnamon ornaments, and also another kind of dough ornament (not salt dough, they were something else). But what really stuck with me is remembering the huge crash we heard a few days later! Our dog had knocked over our heist as free and was eating all the ornamants!! I, too, was a paster’s kid! Reading this brought tears to my eyes because it sounds EXACTLY like my family. I, too, am a pastor's kid, and grew up in a family that didn't have a lot of extra money. But, in many ways, I feel like I had a much richer childhood than most people I know. I remember making and decorating salt ornaments with my mom, and hope to do so some day when my hubby and I have kids. I also have very fond memories of stringing popcorn to decorate a tree outside of our window for the birds. Thanks so much for sharing this!
