Where do we begin?
Oh, that’s a hard question, what do you think? I’d say our journey has been one that has taken us from dryer lint to dreams.
Not to mention 9 children between us and travels that have taken us across the globe.
Yes, we have not let our 9 children stop us from doing anything.
We met in Baltimore, Maryland 14 years ago. Our two oldest boys were just 6 months old.
From there we bought our first homes, shared our first meal together at a 1st birthday party, had more kids, you started a coffee shop, we started a software company, had more kids, we worked Valentine’s dinner at your restaurant (with my husband Todd on flambe), you catered even
From there we had more kids, sold our homes, you packed it up and moved to cold Minnesota…
And you packed it up and moved to warm tropical Hawaii. Who would’ve guessed after traveling the world, you’d land back in Baltimore with many miles between us! (and had more kids!)
What amazes me is that our friendship has grown deeper and we continue to share life. We have continued to travel…Italy or bust…and continue to share meals together, at least twice a year.
Although, much of our days are spent managing our homes, kids and dryer lint, we’ve kept our creative spirits percolating all along. After all these years of tinkering with many, many ideas… a light bulb went off…
Could it have been the beer, or the sweet potato fries??
It was in that moment when we decided to become cookbook writers.
We decided we had enough memories, meals, moments and recipes in our arsenal to write a cookbook memoir.
Of course we can’t forget a main ingredient…Devon, your husband, genius, creative chef who has been creating recipes all these years.
And with your husband Todd as a killer sous-chef-sidekick, it was a recipe for many successful meals.
So, from here we launched into the blogging universe to begin our journey. Little did we know from that actual table, over sweet potato fries and a cold beer, our virtual table would begin.
Yeah, we never thought that a simple memoir cookbook idea could blossom into a lifestyle.
And can you believe all the friends we’ve met and the conversations we’ve shared around our LoveFeast Table?
This virtual table has given us an opportunity to share things we love, savor feasts with old friends and new and experience a beautiful life around our tables.
We invite you to be our guests and join us on the journey.
Cheers!
From dryer lint to dreams,
Chris Ann & Kristin
