Ace of Cakes-Baltimore!

Ace of Cakes book

This morning, I was reading some posts from some of the gals that came to Baltimore for Bloggy Boot Camp.  The conference was a blast, but I know for those of you who came from out of town, you didn’t get a chance to see much of our city!  So, I thought it would be fun to have another Ace of Cakes GiftAway!  We want to GiftAway the book, Ace of Cakes: Inside the World of Charm City Cakes!  Duff Goldman and his crew, call Baltimore home!

Ace of Cakes friends

Baltimore is the perfect city for Ace of Cakes!  It’s quirky, full of personality and surprises and home to the Hon Festival!

Hon Fest

We love the Ace of Cake’s book because it represents something that we are passionate about here at LoveFeast Table!  We believe you should pursue your passion…plunge into the things that make you happy, and they will pave a path for your life!  Duff’s mom supported his art passion, even when it was a bit unconventional and look where it landed him!  He is making cakes for a living, on TV with his best buds and obviously having a blast doing it!

Ace of Cakes

Ok, off my soapbox…

Here’s the deal, we will GiftAway the Ace of Cakes book to one person (in the USA-sorry, our last Ace of Cakes book found it’s way to England and shipping costs totally surprised us!)  All you have to do is leave a comment below, telling us what you love about Baltimore, or wish you had seen while you were here!  (No, you don’t have to be a Boot Camp gal to enter…this is an open contest!) Contest will end at 9pm eastern (that’s Bawlmore time!) Friday, March 12, 2010. ***NEWS FLASH***We extended the time for this GiftAway until 12 midnight…And, thanks to the publisher for providing this book!

As we say here in Bawlmore hon, “Thanks for comin’!  Next time, youse guys are here as torsts, youlls have to go downey ayshin, eat some crabs and have a boh, hon!”

I totally forgot that Ace of Cakes was in Baltimore. I so would have LOVED to go to their shop. I LOVE that show.

I guess the only thing that I am going to have to do is visit this great city again. But only on one condition, if you will be my tour guide.

I realize this is a girl-dominated blog, but I stumbled onto it and thought I would just go ahead and throw in why I love Baltimore.

I blow the city a kiss everyday as I drive to work on 95 because this is the perfect place for me. Living in Fells Point has been terrific because there’s so much to do, and I can walk everywhere, from baseball games to Patterson Park. Eat local, buy local, have fun local. Baltimore has everything, including a great location in case you have to go somewhere else.

  8. Kristin says:

Simply Scott…not a girl dominated site! Have you read this little baby? http://lovefeasttable.com/blog/boyz-gone-wild/

  9. kali says:

baltimore is the best. all four seasons, beach and mountains within a day’s drive, big enough to have several large art galleries, small enough to be able to get into them.

my favorite attraction? the americam visionary art museum.

  10. Wendy says:

I used to love going to Baltimore when I lived in Richmond. I got to go a couple of times for work and really enjoyed the food!! I miss the fresh seafood now that I’m living inland in Montana. Can you send me some crab? ;)

  11. Terrill says:

What I love about Baltimore….Holbrook Rd and some friends named Devon and Kristin….and their nutty kids.

  12. Bridgette says:

Oh so many things to love…steamed crabs, snowballs, Fells Point,a festival every weekend and of course…the Orioles!!

  13. I haven’t explored Baltimore as much as I should, but my favorite place is the American Visionary Art Museum. I’m just blown away by some of their exhibits.

  14. I have only been to Baltimore once and it was many years ago, but I still remember the row homes. We don’t have those down in Texas. I loved the culture, the feel of “community” & the experience of part of my journey of life.

  15. Deanna Porter says:

I love watching Ace of Cakes and all the staff at Charm City Cakes. Keep the cakes baking.

  16. Glen Raburn says:

Baltimore & Ace of Cakes! Cool. I wish I had known about Ace of Cakes when I was there. I liked going to Orioles games when I was in grad school at GWU down the road and if I had known about Ace of Cakes then, I would’ve been there more.. I liked the culture of Baltimore a lot and the history of the area too. Great seafood, mountains and oceans not too far away, rich metropolitan culture — yea, it is a great area.
