Spring is here! And, I know that I am enjoying it inside and out. A while ago I was the lucky winner of this beautiful oil painting in a giveaway from Sandy, who writes the blog The Reluctant Entertainer. Her blog has lots of wonderful tips and stories on hospitality and sharing a meal together with people at your table. I got an opportunity to meet Sandy at the Blissdom Conference and after visiting her blog knew from the start we had a lot in common including the love and inspiration of art! I tried and tried and tried to do Fancy Friday dishes…however all I ended up with was Fancy Dish ENVY! ;o) I seriously ran out to the antique store, and sifted through several shops looking for what caught my eye for dishes…I need to get some new ones anyways. But none of them were Fancy enough for me. But lemons….I can do lemons! I have been drinking fresh squeezed lemon & lime juice for the past 2 days!

Janelle, fancy can be a plain plate that holds a memory…or is a favorite…or was passed down from a family…or you found at a thrift store! Fancy isn’t just a visual thing, it’s also a thing that just makes you smile.
