I came across your site while looking for a new banana bread recipe. I too make mine bread in a can. I do so however, in vegetable cans.

I remove the paper, bake the bread and then once cool use a decorated piece of paper and ribbon if I am giving them as treats or gifts. I just never thought to use a big can!

I just saw the title and already have made plans to make this bizarre and fun treat! Haven't even looked at the recipe, but if you want me to bake bread in a soup can, I can't say no. Too fun!

Sadly, I don't have any wonderful grandma tips, but I am loving this one! It never would have even occurred to me to bake banana bread in a coffee can.
