Your purpose is one of the most important in life, I'd say. I always tell my boys, that I'm raising future husbands and fathers. That tends to be my plumb line, my measurement. What kind of father and husband do I want them to become? Honest, truthful, a servant, righteous, having integrity, being kind, knowing when to give mercy vs. justice in a situation. I have home schooled all of them at one point or another, but they have also spent years in public city schools...at times, being the minority. I too strive to give them a real world experience, learning how to become those men in the world they are facing. Thanks for stopping by! You made my day. Your title "Perception is Reality" grabbed me & I had to read..... (should be taking care of getting kids off to school... ) Sitting down to soak up the inspiration in your post was more engaging to me..... Living life w/purpose!.... vs. seeking position (loved that too!) is what I "preach" to my family all the time... so often in fact, I lose touch w/my purpose & hence the perception I must give off - I have 4 boys... so when I say "preach"... well ... Let's just say it wouldn't be the Lord's first choice. I'm definitely NOT teaching by example. I do not have a web site, or a blog, nor do I work outside the home... however, I do have a purpose .. to raise these boys (and remain sane) w/good character & integrity and as a "real world" kind of gal... (no rose colored glasses in this house...) I need to keep their perception of me in line w/my expectations of them. This post is an entertaining & helpful reminder to live each moment consciously and true to our reality! Thank you! What a wonderful discovery this morning…. I love your brand...especially "more purpose". I just read a great quote the other day, "Don't chase position, chase purpose." ~Devon Franklin (filmmaker) This just resonated with me. Thanks Cyndy!
