I’m shocked that nobody has heard of it I’m sorry. I don’t have specialty stores here, but my local grocery chain carries it next to the extract. Vanilla bean paste has a stronger, richer, more intense vanilla flavor and I love the flecks of vanilla it leaves, too.

Have you tried amazon online? I order pure Madagascar bourbon vanilla bean paste.

You can use vanilla extract in a 1:1 ratio the flavor just won’t be as intense. Another option is to make vanilla sugar with fresh vanilla beans and then use it, in addition to the vanilla extract. :). Hope that helps.
