So my husband and I got together to the English Beat when they were really the English Beat. I saw them when they opened for the Pretenders a million years ago and then again at U of M College Park. And we saw them again last year, and ugh! Wasn’t the same at all.

And then there’s the cake.

Thanks, Elizabeth! It was yumm too, especially the frosting. The butterflies are not edible, though, truthfully, I pulled them out of a potted plant, if you get too close to them you could loose an eye with the wire!;) Yes, the Cafe was where it all began, sweet potato fry heaven!
