Roasted Peach~Vanilla, Blueberry Salad Recipe

If summer could be summed up in a salad, it would be called Roasted Peach~Vanilla, Blueberry Salad...with pecans and crumbled Gorgonzola. Have you ever had a certain dish that when you first took a bite, time stood still?  This salad and I have a romance that started back at our coffee shop days.  I clearly remember the day.  It was late summer and I was sitting on the second floor of Jahva House with two of my high school friends.  We hadn't seen each other in about a year and we were meeting for lunch to catch up.  Devon … [Read more...]

Fancy Friday Favorite Food Blogs To FEAST On

Putting together a beautiful table is one our favorite things to do.  We think gathering at the table is a beautiful event, worthy of some extra attention to details, whether it is a simple salad outdoors... or candle-lit dining at the table, taking time to enjoy some food and conversation is one of life's best moments to savor. That's why FEAST is such a big theme here at LoveFeast Table.  A beautiful TABLE would not be as memorable without delicious food to gather around.  This Fancy Friday is all about the food … [Read more...]

Homemade Leftover Quiche

Recently I shared a Peach Raspberry Homemade Pie recipe with instructions for homemade pie crust.  Every time I go to the trouble to make crust from scratch, I always make the recipe twice.  I use the other recipe to make Homemade Leftover Quiche.  Quiche is one of the perfect meals in my book.  It can be eaten warm for breakfast, cold for lunch and right out of the oven for dinner.  I can't say any two of my quiche have ever been the same.  I wish I had measurements for you, but I don't. It's like our friend Jamie says, they are … [Read more...]

FEAST is all about food...meals, menus, recipe, reviews and memories around the table.  Pull up a chair, we want to introduce you to today's guest, Jamie of Life's a Feast.  Jamie is one of our long time blogger friends.  We discovered each other quickly on twitter.  She was our FEAST sister across the pond.  We knew when we were planning this week that she was the perfect person to introduce you to FEAST here at LoveFeast.  She is an amazing storyteller and the way she weaves the recipe with the memory, captures all who read. … [Read more...]

Summer Salad Recipe With Avocados

Certainly it won't kill you to add a few more greens to your diet.  It definitely won't kill me!  With summer underway I have had more than my share of treats, chips, and lovely meals.  This was one of the delicious side-dishes we had over the 4th of July on our Colorado family vacation.  The salad was prepared by a friend of my husband's sister and husband. What first caught my attention, or really my nose, was the delicious sweet orange she prepared.  She meticulously cut the rind with a paring knife and then cut off all … [Read more...]

Peach Raspberry Pie Recipe

"The nectarine and curious peach, into my hands themselves do reach;  Stumbling on melons as I pass, ensnared with flowers, I fall on grass." ~Andrew Marvell Nothing says summertime like Peach Raspberry Pie, made from scratch and enjoyed with homemade whipped cream.  Melt in your mouth goodness. When I was a teenager, my mom spent time teaching me how to make pie crust.  She said, "There's an art to it.  You have to handle it gently and work quickly."  She shared with me her recipe, which I used for years, until I … [Read more...]

LoveFeast Table’s New Look

Some of you know, we have been in an 8 month process of redefining our look for LoveFeast Table.  You see, when we started blogging 2 1/2 years ago, we thought we were going to write a cookbook.  That's what started us on this blogging journey.  We had shared so many amazing meals around the table (over the 14 years we had been friends along with our growing families), we thought we wanted to document them.  We wanted to share not only the original recipes, but also capture the conversations that took place as well as the … [Read more...]

Happy Valentine’s Day

We hope this day finds you happy!!  Kristin and I have a bit on our plate this morning.  Kristin is at a homeschooling co-op and I have a team of carpet layers pounding carpet into every level of the house.  Right now my living room office and dining rooms are crammed into the kitchen.  I'm surrounded by my chaos and my sofas, chairs, cabinets, and accessories.  I can't complain much though.  Because this is by choice not by flood.   So, Kristin and I are going to have depend on you all for creative inspiration today.  We hope … [Read more...]

Blogger Christmas Cookie Exchange

My husband and I have been working for 30 days straight on our crazy remodel (more on that later).  We needed an excuse to take a break from the work wheel.  An invite to Chicken Nuggets of Wisdom's Cookie Exchange was timely and the excuse we needed! After making the Dulce de Leche Bacon, Coconut, Chocolate Chip Magic Bars, I wrapped them up and headed to the party with my family in tow!  We were warmly greeted by Laura's daughter and placed our mitten donations in the basket.  Laura was donating gloves to a local … [Read more...]
