Double Delicious Bars Recipe

I’m just so sorry I didn’t share.  Really.

Had I known you were craving something buttery, chocolaty and warm…I would

have invited you right over.

Since I got this recipe from an old church cook book, I’m fairly sure my sharing side would have kicked in.

Yes, I’m pretty sure I would have shared.

But you could whip up a batch real quick. They are Double Delicious Bars, shared by Mildred Morken many years ago in the Trinity Lutheran Church cookbook.  They are also seen at Bake or Break and most originally from the Eagle Brand Website.  But today….we’ll give Mildred the credit.

Double Delicious Bars

1/2 Cup Butter

1 1/2 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs

14 oz. can Sweetened Condensed Milk (Eagle Brand)

12 oz. pkg. Hershey’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1 Cup Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips (Variation: Heath Chips)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Then, in a 9X13 pan,

melt butter in the oven.

Sprinkle cracker crumbs evenly over butter.

Then, evenly pour over condensed milk and top with the chips.

Bake 25-30 minutes until lightly browned.

Cool and cut into bars.

And, be nice.  Share.

**Our friend and fellow blogger Janelle from Queen of the House of Boys did just that with her own Classic Brownies……who could you be inspired to LoveBomb with some goodies?

  2. ONE of my favorite recipes! YUM! (and KILLING me since I gave up chocolate for Lent. UGH)

Looking forward to meeting you at Bloggy Bootcamp in a few days 🙂

  3. I tried making Magic Bars once. They’re very similar to this. They came out TERRIBLE. Not sure what I did wrong, but they have made me leery of these sorts of bars now. They look SO good, though.

  4. Wow. Just…WOW. Seriously, I may have to UN-bookmark you guys until my diet is over. Or at least until I’m more than 2 days in.
Okay, who am I kidding? I’m just RE-bookmarking these until next week…

  5. I don’t know which is more drool-worthy . . . the recipe itself or these gorgeous photos. Either way, I’m gonna need a drool-catching bib. Like, now.

  6. Those look amazing! I will definitely be coming back to this recipe! Thanks for the shout out! You guys rock!

  7. I come over here for the first time ever, from SortaCrunchy, and the first thing I see is five close-ups of these.

I scroll down and see that I have all the ingredients.

I remind myself that I’m studying for an exam.

I remind myself that I have cheesecake in the refrigerator.

I’m not sure how this story is going to end!

  8. Sorry the temptation is so great…but we like to share around here!

  9. Oh my goodness!!!! I am drooling (again)….these look so chocofabulous!

  10. Oh man!! How fast can you ship them?! 😉

  11. I don’t think we should stop at “double” – that looks incredible! (and so easy too!)

  12. mmmmm soooo chocolatey…

  13. Oh my goodness! These look soooo decadent and ridiculously chocolatey!! Love, love, LOVE them! I might make some for Easter. Thanks!

  14. My kids love when I make these. But I haven’t tried them with the peanut butter chips yet. Yours look great. But I do love coconut in it.

  15. Heavenly.

I want to come to dinner at your house! ! !
