Who knew you could degorge an eggplant? I never even heard of such a thing! What a FUN way to get your kids to like veggies if they don’t already–enrolling in a cooking class (brilliant, I say).

With two sons of my own, both HS teens, I’ve always been challenged when it comes to “good” gifts; you’ve given some concrete ideas that make me look outside the box. I likey :).

We are transitioning to this too + the idea of encouraging family who want to give gifts to give the birthday child cash as they are often saving for something no one person could afford to give them (a bike, a computer, etc.).

Also, I’ve done a group event at a rock climbing gym and it’s REALLY fun! Seems to me like it would be a perfect party for boys!
