Artisan: 1: A person skilled at making things by hand. 2: One that produces something in limited quantities often using traditional methods. We discovered these beautiful, hand "re-crafted" Provencial Boards last year. We were immediately smitten by their craftsmanship. Each board is re-purposed out of French Oak wine casks. Skilled Australian sculptors, carefully disassemble the casks and rearrange the clever puzzle of steam-bowed oak ribs and cambered end pieces to create unique, one of a kind, cheese boards. Traveling With A Great Day Bag
Running errands, taking day trips, and running your busy life means the things you haul your personal items with, your notes, your books, your bag, your wallet and even an extra jacket, should be functional and sturdy. And also, beautiful. Recently, I was roaming the old cobbled market streets of Munich. Wondering through the Viktualienmarkt, the oldest farmers market in Munich, I imagined that if I lived here, or was perhaps on an extended holiday with an apartment, I would have gathered up quite a few … [Read more...]
Where We Gather
You see, we are both extroverts. If you are Myers Briggs fans, you'll understand that being an ENFP & ENFJ, we both kind of refill and recharge when we are with our friends. So we gather. We gather in real life at lake houses, conferences or the beach. In our virtual life, we gather here, at our (virtual) table, LoveFeast Table. This is where conversations happen and we share a bit more about ourselves, design ideas, recipes we are loving, moments and memories, style tips, travel and so much more. We also like to have … [Read more...]

Rwandan Baby Shower
About three weeks ago, my life and my family's life was enlarged. We received a call from friends who had received a call from friends (tracking with me?) that an 8 1/2 month pregnant woman, from Rwanda and her 6 year old son, were in need of a place to live. They were homeless. Not knowing anyone else in our area, they called me. Now, this is not entirely new for our family. At different times we have had teenage boys, college aged girls, a military family of 4, live in our home. A number of years ago we converted our basement … [Read more...]

Early Fall Farro Salad Recipe
Recently we were at a writer's retreat with some friends of ours. It was a beautiful weekend with time to relax, be inspired by one another's stories, wiggle our toes in the lake, get a little paddle boarding in and share delicious meals. The first evening we prepared dinner and the dish that was front and center, was this Early Fall Farro Salad. We used it as a bed for baked white sole. It was a dinner full of fresh, clean flavor not to mention, the best of conversations! 5.0 from 1 reviews Early Fall Farro Salad Recipe … [Read more...]
