PARENT ‘HOOD~Mama Bags with Style
When my babies were young, it was a Pre Etsy Era. I hunted high and low for a unique and creative diaper bag to carry. I think I ended up with something black because that was the closest thing to keeping me modern and hip. The alternatives were bags with baby prints on them...seriously?! What were manufacturers thinking? Recently, I was with a good friend, Ashleigh Baker. She was rocking a diaper bag that made me almost, swoon for a do-over. Ok, her bag and her babe! Oh my, I could have eaten him up! Not to mention she … [Read more...]
Sisterhood
Courtesy of Jen Johnson Photography She stitched carefully, placing the needle gently through the swatch of fabric she had clipped from her old bed sheet. The sheet that had covered her on warm summer nights and held her through dreams and restless sleep. It's faded rose buds receded into the fibers of the fabric, dull but softly outlined. It was worn to silky smoothness and she lingered on it's familiar feel. She bound it one stitch at a time, ever so delicately, to a piece taken from a new pile of cloth. She had stacks of … [Read more...]

If you ever visit Baltimore, or if you live in Baltimore and you've never visited Woodberry Kitchen...you must! Woodberry is unique to the Baltimore food scene. Owners Spike and Amy have built a farm to table food culture right in the heart of our city. Their commitment to stay local is changing the way Baltimore sees it's resources. PARENT ‘HOOD LINK UP: Moms Who Change the Rules
To get information on linking up your Parent 'Hood post, click HERE. They look so happy, don't they? (Not!) This picture was taken at the end of our summer vaca together, with both families this past June. They didn't want to leave each other. They didn't want their time to end. We didn't either. (Baker Boy put on a total "fake" smile for this shot.) It's hard when a chapter comes to a close. Not that it takes away from the wonderful times and memories created, it's just that sometimes, it's hard. It was like that … [Read more...]
PARENT ‘HOOD LINK UP~Mondays!!!
“When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished by how much he'd learned in seven years.” ~Mark Twain This just happens to be one of my mom's favorite quotes. Of course, she didn't share it with me until I hit 21 and was pregnant with my first son. PARENT 'HOOD can be hard, but also one of the most rewarding things in life. Chris Ann and I happen to be in the midst of many stages of parenting...kindergarten, elementary … [Read more...]
Home Office Decor
Last fall I realized that I was spending a lot of time in a space that didn't inspire me. I decided to purchased a new desk for my home office. It replaced a sturdy Ikea table desk that had seen it's better days. Over the year I have been adding decoration and organization to it. It is still a work in progress, but here is some of what I've done and my tips for Home Office Decor that will inspire you! Making a space for yourself that is beautiful & inspiring is good for the creative soul. 1. Wooden Desk - For my … [Read more...]
A Change is Happenin’
“Do I contradict myself? Very well, then, I contradict myself; I am large -- I contain multitudes.” ~Walt Whitman There's a change a happening here at LoveFeast Table. You see, we like change, even though at times it can be uncomfortable, pressing us into spaces that are new and unexplored. But change can also be good. It can open up new spaces and bring new adventures. When we started this blog some 4 years ago, we had no idea what we were doing...really. We were two stay at home moms who set out with a few goals. We … [Read more...]
