We have had a busy month this past August. We've been working for so long to finish our new design and it's been so much fun to celebrate our launch this month. We hope you have been enjoying our newly designed table as much as we have. It's been like taking this beautiful mess of ideas and scraps of inspiration and turning it into a package that has been truly a gift to use for us! And, keep your eyes open! We'll be adding new bits of color and pieces to our table as we go! We still have some surprises up our … [Read more...]

Living Our Dream Business
There is a saying around our home, "Pursue your passion." My husband and I have lived our life with this motto. For some families, it's not one they make their decisions by, however, it's been front and center for most of our life choices. I am fortunate enough to be pursuing my dream business for the second time in my life. The first time was at the age of 26 when my husband and I, with only $50 to start, opened a coffee shop/cafe called Jahva House. It was our business learning curve. It was full of life, artists, musicians, … [Read more...]

This week at our table we are introducing our BlogLove™ events. So far we have held these networking events for bloggers in Minneapolis and Baltimore. BlogLove™ events have been a great way to meet the bloggers in the areas that we both live, Minneapolis and Baltimore. We hope to expand these events to other cities as well. Part of the success of these events are the businesses that have either hosted or sponsored these events. A brand or business that participates with an event like BlogLove™ is one that understands the … [Read more...]

LIFE
The first time I met Maggie, AKA Gussy, was last year at one of our BlogLove Events. I didn't get a chance to talk to her very long, but later in the year, at a conference, we had one of those heart to hearts that left us knowing we had become friends. Maggie is full of LIFE and creativity and witnessing how she has taken that and turned it into a successful business, is nothing short of inspiring. LIFE here at our table is about the real LIFE experience...the tangible...the things that happen away from the computer. To … [Read more...]
TABLE
There is nothing like the buzz around the table when the food gets set, the guests sit down and the conversation begins. Today's guest is Sandy from Reluctant Entertainer. She believes hospitality is not something that is hard or mysterious, but an act, even with the simplest of gestures, that can make someone feel at home. She is introducing you to our TABLE a place for conversation to happen and stories to be exchanged. We hope you're getting comfortable here. We want you to feel at home. Kick off your shoes and join in the … [Read more...]
Joy in the Mud
Sometimes, you just have to jump in and let go. There were sounds of screeching and giggling so I opened the curtain and peeked outside. Three of my kids sneaked out of the house, during a rain shower and this is what I found. Even my teenager (who is a clean freak by nature) was embracing the mud. They wiggled their toes in it...danced and twirled and even tried to drag me in. I snapped away, capturing a "childhood sibling moment" I wanted them to be able to recall even after years had passed. It's the moment I … [Read more...]
